Top 5 Reasons Why Greyhounds and I Are So Similar
- We don't do well in extreme weather situations. Our relatively low body fat makes it hard to endure the cold and makes us overheat in the summer. A typical walk in the winter has Karlo running around with a fleece and no gloves and me and the greyhounds bundled up in our coats and boots, still shivering uncontrollably.
- We both are self regulating when it comes to food and normally only eat what is required to sustain life. Eating is not such a glorious event that is the highlight of our days, but rather a necessary evil . . . unless, of course, we are talking about treats in place of meals, in which case we both get much more excited.
- We both have the ability to make it look as though we are in good shape, despite the fact that we've slacked and done nothing but lounging for months. An out-of-shape greyhound or Paula doesn't look much different than an in-shape greyhound or Paula.
- Neither of us are very fond of leaving the cozy comfort of our home. We sometimes have to be dragged outdoors, but once we get out we have a ball and are glad that we went.
- Our idea of 'swimming' is getting into the water up to our knees and just sitting there. We have no desire in the world to go to where we can no longer reach the ground and have to float. This is because greyhounds and Paulas can not float!
